These are SO important. The ‘Stroke Rolls’ and related exercises are not just rudimentary hand exercises, they also closely relate to groove and counting in odd-times. You are basically killing two birds with one stone. You get to drill your hands with strong solid doubles and articulation but you are also counting in odd times through some of these exercises. Take this page seriously and your journey into good strong doubles will be solid but you will also improve your sense of groove in odd times. Anything with grooooooove is goooooood.
